Donal Lucey is a 22 year old singer-songwriter from Kerry, Ireland. Influenced heavily by modern singer- songwriters such as Ed Sheeran and Paolo Nutini.
In 2019 Donal released his debut single, ‘Another Love Song’, which has gained popularity with audiences in the UK, Ireland, Australia, Germany and the United States as well as being played on local radio stations such as Radio Kerry and Red FM. More recently, Donal released his second single, ‘Politics of the Heart’, in 2021.
Donal has performed as support act for acts such as Wild Youth, Róisín O, Paddy Casey in venues such as The INEC and Mike The Pies in Kerry as well as Kavanaghs in Portlaoise and Sean Óg’s in Donegal, along with playing in The Sound House and The Grand Social in Dublin. Donal also featured on the line-up for KFest 2022 in Kerry, Ireland.
In 2021 Donal was voted Radio Kerry’s ‘New Local Hero’ for the Irish Music Month ‘New Local Hero’ competition ran with Hot Press. He was one of twenty-five national finalists.

He was also included in Hot Press’ ‘Hot for 2022’ list and was in their January edition.
Donal’s brand new single ‘No Regrets’ showcases a new vibrant, up-beat side to his music and is the first exhibition of fresh collaborations with a full band in recording.
Coming off the back of supporting Wild Youth and Róisín O in 2022, this new track explores a more rhythmic and dance inspired style, taking influence from songs like ‘One Dance’ by Drake, ‘Woman’ by Doja Cat and ‘No Judgement’ by Niall Horan.
‘No Regrets’ is a taste of the new avenues Donal is taking his music down in 2023 and the beginning of a new chapter of his career.
