‘Songs’ is the new album from Dermot McKenna, singer-songwriter from Monaghan, Ireland.
He has been independently creating songs for many years, in an eclectic range of styles. Culled from numerous recording sessions, each song on the album also has a video to complement the audio.
Influences include Prince, Gorillaz and Liam O’Maonlai.
He is frontman and songwriter in punk-pop band Van Cleef, who played numerous gigs around Ireland including Whelans, Dolans, The Ruby Sessions and supporting The Damned in The Button Factory.
Solo gigs include Arcadian Fields, The Grand Social, Hilton Park and supporting Mundy @ Westpark 2021.
