Earlier this year, David Kitt re-released his 2006 album Not Fade Away on vinyl for the first time. Originally released on Rough Trade records, the album was lovingly remastered and re-sequenced, along with a brand-new song, ‘Love Someone Else’, featuring Niamh Regan.
A unique and sincere songwriter with an expert ability to meld inspirations, eras and sounds, platinum-selling artist David Kitt’s music glimmers with a sense of timelessness well-earned after over twenty years immersed in music.
This weekend, Kittser will return to his spiritual home, Whelan’s, to perform the album in full as well as some classics from the back catalogue with a full band on Saturday September 21.
Speaking about the show, David Kitt says “This is the first time we’ve played this record in full since its release in 2006 with the original band of Graham Hopkins, Richie Egan and Matthew Bolger. Basically, you’re getting half of The Redneck Manifesto and a third of Therapy? with me on guitar and vocals. This is a one-off show that’s highly unlikely to happen again and we will have the last remaining copies of the recent vinyl reissue for sale.”
