Limerick’s conceptual rap artist, Dale Maguire, continues to push boundaries with his latest single, “Pipe Down”, featuring Irish rap star Curtisy. Known for weaving complex personal and societal narratives into his music, Dale’s work challenges audiences to think critically about the themes he presents. With “Pipe Down,” he dives deep into the personal struggles of life, all set to the mesmerizing production of Danny Lanham.

“I was so excited when Curtisy agreed to be on Pipe Down. He’s one of my favourite rappers in Ireland. I didn’t expect a response when I reached out, but now I’m so happy I did. He killed his feature.” – Dale Maguire

In this powerful track, Dale Maguire reflects on hardships such as dealing with housing instability, family emigration, and the painful end of a friendship. Yet, amidst these heavy themes, his quick wit shines through with lines like “I still make a holy show of these lads like a reboot of Father Ted.”

The song’s chorus poses a significant question: “Should I leave or stay?” Curtisy, bringing his own flair, adds depth to the narrative, addressing his own personal relationships and self-destructive tendencies. His verse concludes on a hopeful note, discussing a love that offers a reason to stay.

“Pipe Down” is a raw, thought-provoking exploration of personal and emotional turbulence. This is the final single before Dale Maguire’s upcoming album, ‘Drip Drop Splash!’, drops on the 26th of September.
