The first of five songs written by Corner Boy at a songwriting session in the West of Ireland in 2023, ’Beast of Burden’ is an uplifting and energetic folk/roots rock song exploring identity and understanding in a relationship. The song was recorded and produced by the band in their rehearsal/recording space in the South East of Ireland and is the first single from Corner Boy’s second album which will be released in Summer 2025.
Fresh from recent performances at festivals such as ‘All Together Now’ and ‘Kaleidoscope’, the band will embark on their first set of US dates at the end of August, before that they will perform at the Breakwater Festival on Friday the 9th of August at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann taking place in their hometown of Wexford.
Corner Boy are a six-piece folk rock band from the South-East of Ireland that combine elements of bluegrass, roots and traditional Irish to create a distinctive sound.
