Independent Irish female artist, vocalist and songwriter Clara Rose has just released a new music video this October 2025. The video features her recent single, ‘Callin for the Kid‘, inspired by her late Grandfather and his adventures in music & life.
Featuring Clara’s parents Alan & Elizabeth Monahan on guitars, banjo, vocals and whistling and Cathy and Marion McEvoy on fiddle and mandolin, it is available for download from Bandcamp at Callin for the Kid | Clara Rose. The single received national airplay and was featured on ‘The Six Sessions’ on Virgin Media TV with a live studio performance.
Filmed on location in Boyles Pub (Slane, Co. Meath) and in a beautiful field in the Royal County of Meath, the music video tells a nostalgic tale of love, loss and the memories which connect our present with our past. ‘The Kid’ is played by actor Pat Deery and the host of wonderful children playing cowboys and Indians will melt your heart, all while ‘the band’ and the gamblin’ cowboys play on.
