Ciaran Moran Returns with New Release ‘Give Up Your Love’ Out Now
“Give Up Your Love is a real breath of fresh air for me! A much more highly developed sound, smothered with some of Ireland’s best musicians performing on the track. It’s a soundtrack about a young man missing that chance every time with someone he thinks he could love. It’s blended with a singalong anthem of ‘Give Up Your Love, if your going to waste it’ throughout.”
Ciaran Moran is one of Ireland’s most compelling and authentically honest up and coming songwriting talents, known for his raw lyricism, emotional depth, and socially conscious storytelling. Hailing from Dublin’s North Inner City, Moran’s music is a powerful blend of acoustic folk, urban soul and gritty realism that speaks directly to the lived experiences of his generation.
Tutored by highly regarded Irish figures including Christy Moore and Colm Querney at just the age of 13, Moran has gained a notable amount of supporters within the Irish music industry.
A working class artist of the people, Ciaran’s music has taken him from local stages to some of Ireland’s biggest arenas including support slots with artists like Macy Gray, The Wolfe Tones, Jamie Webster along with dates in New York City and touring across Europe.
2024 saw the Dubliner play three nights as main support for The Wolfe Tones Farewell shows at the iconic 3Arena, also being the first singer songwriter from Dublin’s Inner City to perform at Dublin’s largest indoor venue. The shows showcased his commanding live presence and earned him a growing national fanbase. His live shows are marked by intensity, sincerity, and an unfiltered connection with audiences, each performance leaving a lasting impression.
Moran’s songwriting career has been defined by authenticity and purpose. Releases like Follow Your Soul, Mother, and It’s OK have garnered acclaim for their poignant themes and vulnerability, addressing issues from addiction and loss to hope and resilience. With a debut nationwide TV performance, airplay on national radio and coverage in Irish press, his growing catalogue reveals a storyteller deeply in tune with the social and emotional undercurrents of modern Ireland.
In 2024, Moran was also announced to perform to a full capacity Tolka Park as the musical performer during Shelbourne FC’s historical Cup lift after winning the Irish Premier Division, providing a live performance for a defining moment in Irish football. The performance not only underlined his cultural relevance but highlighted the respect he commands across creative and sporting communities alike.
Having several Sold Out Shows in Ireland and the UK at renowned venues such as Whelan’s Main Room, The Academy Green Room, and The Greennote London, Ciaran continues to evolve, blending heartfelt songwriting with contemporary production. He remains driven by a vision to bring truth and poetry to the forefront of Irish music.
With a reputation as both a voice of the streets and a rising figure in Ireland’s musical future, Ciaran Moran is not just an artist to watch—he’s an artist to believe in.
