Singer-songwriters Chris Cresham and Mark O’Donnell will release a collaborative single titled “BLEED” on Friday, October 3rd, on all major streaming platforms. ‘BLEED’ was written by Chris Cresham and late-late toy show star Michael Moloney.
Mayo musician Chris says “I wrote ‘BLEED’ last year about some family struggles I’ve carried growing up. It reflects my mother’s ongoing battle with mental health and the difficult relationship I’ve had with her since childhood. The first verse is from my own perspective, while the second verse, sung by Mark, is written from my mother’s point of view.
“It’s an energetic folk-pop track, produced by Patrick O’Donnell, one of the acclaimed producers behind chart-topping Irish band Kingfishr. I originally wrote the verses in my bedroom and then worked with Michael Moloney to finish it. I always felt this song needed a feature and Mark O’Donnell has one of the most incredible voices. He is really making waves in Ireland. This track feels like the most personal song I’ve released so far, and I’m proud to finally share it.”
This single follows Mark’s recent release “Break Your Heart”, which was named RTÉ 2FM’s Track of the Week and Mark’s previous releases have featured on some official Spotify editorial playlists, including New Music Friday UK and A Fresh of Breath Eire. Mark’s cover of “You to Me Are Everything” gained wide attention after being featured on Love Island UK during Ella and Tyrique’s first date in June 2023.
Chris, meanwhile, has also been gaining momentum, his previous single “Catching Fire” was awarded Track of the Month by iRadio, he won an award during Irish Music Month last October, and this year was shortlisted by Hot Press Magazine for Most Promising Act of the Year. Since relocating from Ireland to London, Chris has been working full-time as a musician, doing writing sessions and gigging including supporting Allie Sherlock on her tour.
