Today, May 23rd, Charles Boulevard release their new single “Greenwich Mean Time“.
The song tells the tale of long distance love between living here in GMT with your loved one in Australia under (AEST).
Lyricist Dermot Condron explains “The scene of the song is set, saying goodbye to your loved one on the docks of Liverpool perhaps seeing them for the last time. A poignant reminder of the many people who have experienced that scenario”.
Musically the song evokes the epic sounds of mid-sixties Pop with sweeping guitar riffs to create a soundscape which also has a contemporary if not timeless quality to it.
Lead vocalist Pavel Holada delivers with passion to set the scene for this epic ballad.
The Czech/Irish group are currently working on a new record which is due to be completed in August 2025 and are planning to do some live shows thereafter.
