I started writing this track when I was going through a time of pure euphoria. A lot of positive things were happening in terms of music and just life in general, after maybe me doubting myself a lot for a little while. My main goal was to bring out that feeling in music with big sounds and emotional feelings.

It’s a completely different genre than I’m used to which I think is why it felt so fresh and fun to write. I hope people can experience the same feeling of excitement and energy that I get from this track.…..” (Caolan Ryan)

With last week’s two Dublin shows in support of Fred again…. (the RDS and a very special two hour set at the secret Button Factory gig) Kerry producer and songwriter Caolan Ryan continues his upward trajectory with new single ‘Feel The Same‘, released November 7th via London label Origins Inconclusive. Building on the success of his acclaimed debut EP LOVE earlier this year (described by Earmilk as “both expansive and intimate”), the track demonstrates another sound.

LOVE showcased Ryan’s ability to merge emotional resonance with club-ready energy — a six-track journey praised for its cinematic textures, rhythmic depth and its collaboration with Jafaris on single ‘DO IT’. Championed by Lawrence Hart, HAAi and Kilimanjaro amongst others, the project established Ryan as one of Ireland’s most promising electronic voices. ‘Feel The Same’ sees Ryan dial up the energy from his recent work, moving firmly onto the dancefloor with fresh drum n’ bass influences.

Built around punchy drums, warm synth and an unfolding hook, it’s as much about movement as feeling. While his earlier releases leaned into atmosphere and introspection, the track shows a producer ready to push things louder, faster, and more playful – blending emotive songwriting with a sound built for communal experience. It signals a new run of releases that will see him end the year on a euphoric high.

After a summer of DJ slots, festivals shows and his most recent high profile gigs, Ryan will be heading home to Dingle for Other Voices later in the month – another milestone for a producer who has steadily turned personal storytelling into expansive, immersive electronic experiences.
