Tickets on Sale today, Friday 11th April
Bell X1 have announced an extensive winter acoustic tour, including two dates in the National Concert Hall, featuring The Theodora Byrne Ensemble. The band will also be returning to London’s Union Chapel.
Following on from the success of last year’s Helix Shows, the band will tour acoustically across October, November and December. Tickets will go on sale this Friday, April 11th at 10am, with a Bell X1 website mailing list pre-sale ahead of that on Thursday.
Recently, For Daffodil Day 2025 (The Irish Cancer Society’s awareness and fundraising drive), Bell X1 have released a new video directed by Anna Eijsbouts for their song Spacewalk. Glenn Keating, a musician who plays in the live band, has been living with cancer for the past 5 years, and his journey was the inspiration for the song.

Paul Noonan shares some words on Spacewalk: “We have made music with Glenn since 2015, when making the Arms record, and he’s been part of the live band since. Glenn is a thoughtful, funny, musically intuitive and gifted dude – who happens to have had the terrible luck of getting cancer. Since his diagnosis in 2020 he has continued to be all of these things, and to bring his infectious positive energy to the band, while going through multiple courses of chemotherapy and other treatment.
Making music with others – from the giddy rehearsal set-up chats and nerding-out over new gear, to the moments of collective transcendence, is a profound thing. We find ourselves tremendously moved by Glenn’s continued open-hearted commitment to this, and his willingness to talk about his journey in the interests of raising awareness and funds for cancer charities. Spacewalk is an attempt to speak to this, to our love for Glenn.”
The Irish Cancer Society needs to raise €30 million this year to meet a record demand for its services.
Glenn is embarking on a cycle from Dublin to Galway in aid of the Irish Cancer Society and Bowel Cancer Awareness Month. Donations can be made via the link: https://www.justgiving.com/page/cyclecoasttocoast
