Following the success of his sold-out Little Whelan’s show in February, Dublin-based artist ARREN has announced his highly anticipated return to Whelan’s Upstairs for a full-band show on June 21st to celebrate the release of his cinematic new single ‘Broken’.

Blending the sweeping, anthemic energy of ‘90s and 2000s pop-rock with the lyrical intimacy of singer-songwriter, ARREN has carved out a distinctive space in the Irish music scene – known for combining vintage, anthemic sounds with contemporary execution.

ARREN is quickly becoming one of Ireland’s most exciting emerging artists.

ARREN’s previous singles ‘It Takes One to Know’ and ‘Dreams We Missed’ garnered widespread acclaim, with features across top Irish radio stations and playlists, including Clare FM and First Music Contact’s Made in Ireland, as well as a Top 3 spot on Puremzine’s Fresh Top 20 Music Videos.

His live shows have become must-see events, praised for their energetic performances and audience participation. With ‘Broken’ set to usher in a more cinematic side to his sound, the June 21st performance promises a dynamic and heartfelt journey through both new material and fan favourites.

Joining ARREN on the night as a special guest is Keith Plunkett, an indie/folk songwriter hailing from the West of Ireland.

Known for his atmospheric, melancholic sound, Keith’s performances feature open-tuned fingerstyle acoustic guitar accompanied by cello (Maeve Kelly) and electric guitar (Shane Smith), creating a rich, emotive landscape that sets the perfect tone for the evening.

With two rising voices in Irish music sharing the stage, this is set to be a special night at one of Dublin’s most iconic live music venue.
