ARREN announces Debut Headline Full Band Show at Whelan’s for February 19th
ARREN, the Dublin-based, Clare/Limerick-born artist, is gearing up for his highly anticipated debut headline show at Little Whelan’s on the 19th February 2025. The performance will feature ARREN joined by his full band, bringing his signature pop-rock sound to life in one of Dublin’s most iconic live music venues. The evening will also include support from talented acoustic singer-songwriter Ciarán Rowney.
Known for blending the scale of ’90s and 2000s pop-rock with the intimacy of modern singer-songwriter music, ARREN is quickly becoming one of Ireland’s most exciting emerging artists. His breakthrough single, “It Takes One to Know,” released in July 2024, earned significant attention across Irish Spotify playlists, radio stations, and music blogs. The song’s success was followed by the release of “Dreams We Missed” in November, a nostalgic anthem that captures the essence of youthful memories and adolescent wistfulness. The track is the first single from his forthcoming debut album ‘Dark Earth’.
ARREN’s sound draws on a range of influences, including Radiohead, Oasis, U2, Mumford & Sons, and Hudson Taylor. His music is known for combining vintage, anthemic sounds with contemporary execution, creating a timeless feel that resonates with fans of both classic rock and modern folk and pop music.
Joining ARREN on stage for this special headline show will be Ciarán Rowney, an acoustic singer-songwriter from County Laois. Ciarán’s unique blend of blues and fingerstyle guitar, combined with his distinctive percussive elements, adding an intimate and soulful dimension to his performances. He regularly takes part in Dublin’s open mic scene and is known for his creative approach to both original songs and popular covers. His set will be the perfect complement to ARREN’s full band performance.
