Your Roots are Showing – Ireland’s Folk Conference are delighted to present an unforgettable night at the Gleneagle INEC Arena for the 1st annual ‘Folk iN Fusion’, the official opening event for the 2025 conference, Tuesday 14th January, 7pm.
Folk iN Fusion will bring together some of the most revered names in folk and roots music, promising a night that honors both tradition and innovation.
The evening’s lineup is headlined by the incomparable Rhiannon Giddens, a Grammy and Pulitzer Prize winner renowned for her deep connection to roots music. Joining her is Liam Ó Maonlaí, the iconic voice of Hothouse Flowers, whose music has become a vital part of Irish culture.
Also gracing the stage will be folk and bluegrass legend Peter Rowan, alongside Ron Block, the virtuoso banjo player from Alison Krauss & Union Station. Together, they will create a performance that blends their musical mastery in a way only legends can.
Adding to the evening’s magic, Thomas Gabriel will continue the legacy of his grandfather, Johnny Cash, with his unique mix of country and rock, while Ireland’s own first lady of country music, Sandy Kelly, shares her timeless voice. Rising Nashville star Kenny Sharp will also join the lineup, bringing a fresh energy to the stage.
Brendan McCreanor, known for his innovative approach to the uilleann pipes, and Gerry O’Connor, a world-renowned fiddle player, will showcase the vibrant sounds of Ireland. Adding a high-energy twist to the mix, Brown Liquor Music will ensure an incredible night of music. This is the inaugural event of what promises to become a cornerstone of the Irish music scene.

Folk iN Fusion marks the official opening of Your Roots Are Showing – Ireland’s annual Folk Conference. Your Roots are Showing is a nonprofit organisation dedicated to preserving and promoting folk music in Ireland and worldwide. Now in its third year, it has become a cornerstone event for Ireland’s folk, roots, and traditional music community. This annual conference will take place at the Gleneagle Hotel in Killarney, County Kerry, offering a vibrant schedule over 5 days and 4 nights. Attendees can look forward to a diverse lineup of activities, including professional development sessions, networking opportunities, live performances, and interactive workshops that celebrate and explore the rich traditions of Irish music.
