“This song always makes me cry. I hate saying goodbye and when I hear ‘The Parting Glass’, it feels like it hits the heart right where it is bleeding. My version is very raw and naked, just my vocals and a drone. If I ever left this place, I would miss Dublin, my dirty little Temple Bar and its rough streets full of drunk tourists, the local homeless characters and music. I would definitely never forget the setlist from the Old Storehouse backyard outside of my window to which I fall asleep every night. I sometimes wonder whether my time in Ireland is slowly coming to an end. I have made my peace with Ireland and it might be time for me to live a new adventure now. Let’s see.”

The worldly Emileo is an alternative electronic artist from Berlin who effortlessly blends Eastern and Western sounds in her music.

Sinéad O’Connor herself chose her for the BA Commercial Modern Music Scholarship from BIMM Dublin, where she has finished her bachelor’s degree in Songwriting. Funded through a merit award from the German government, she is now finishing her master’s in Music and Culture at UCD Dublin. Supporting artists such as Tori Amos, Joesef, Mundy and Tolü Makay around Ireland, Emileo has performed in venues such as Dublin’s Olympia Theatre and Vicar Street, Galway’s Róisín Dubh and Cork’s Opera House. She has also played at Ireland Music Week, Electric Picnic, Alltogethernow and 2000 Trees (Cheltenham). In September 2023 Emileo organised the charity event ‘Music for Morocco’ and was able to raise 1500€ for the victims of the Moroccan earthquake, for which she was personally awarded by the Moroccan Ambassador to Ireland. In May 2024, Emileo released her second EP ‘A Thief of Mother’s Milk’ and performed at The Great Escape in Brighton.
