Debut album, ‘The Way They Used To’, released 29th November 2024.

Stolen Days’ is kaleidoscopic and joyful. It’s a song that comes full circle on the pain of losing someone dear over many years, trying to stop the inevitable, failing, and rebuilding yourself to carry on in its wake.

Buoyant in the face of life’s only certainty, ‘Stolen Days’ fuses effervescent synth, pan flutes, soulful acoustic guitar, and a groove of promise across snare and shaker. Logan’s lush vocal traverses harmonies across the dichotomy of head and heart as she sings of the stolen days that “push me and break me, hold me and make me”.

Aislinn reflects on the new song, “Stolen Days is the last song on my first record, but truly it tells the tale of where it all began. Written in the aftermath of a tragedy’s conclusion, this song is an ode to hope – the awe of feeling lifted out of something you didn’t think you could ever break free from. There’s sheer ‘happy tears’ joy there. Despite everything, the path ahead has been illuminated again – it’s a revelation.”

The transcendent melody follows Logan’s continued connection with someone who lives on in her mind, something she “can’t forget” – nor would she want to. Although the second verse dips into fear of a familiar fate coming for her, there’s a warm relief as she doesn’t need to look further than herself for the reassurance she craves now all’s said and done. The expansive track echoes the sway of TV Girl, the breeziness of Beach House, and the irreverence of Sufjan Stevens.

Written and performed by Aislinn Logan with Jonny Oakley. Production by Johnny Oakley with additional production by Aislinn. Mixing by Kristofer Harris. Mastering by Grammy nominated Ryan Schwabe.
