After taking the America’s Got Talent stage by storm, advancing to the quarter-finals after an unforgettable performance of her iconic single ‘Please Don’t Go’ Irish singer-songwriter Stephanie Rainey is releasing brand new music. This is in the lead up to  the release of her new EP, ahead of performances of 2 of her biggest headline shows to date this November and it is just announced that she joins Pa Sheehy on his European tours this October and February.

Stephanie Rainey proves once again she can pen a song that cuts right to the core of the issue. Having sat in wait for a number of years the time was finally right to unveil powerful anthem ‘Snakes & Ladders’. Serving as a reminder to be kind to yourself with life’s ups and downs it offers a reminder that there will always be another ladder. ‘Snakes & Ladders’ is out now.

Written in Kerry with Pa Sheehy (Walking on Cars), Conor Byrne (Sony Germany) & Gary Keane, the single has an anthemic quality to it, worthy of a vast arena. ‘Snakes & Ladders’ is a reminder that life has ups and downs – sometimes you feel like you’re just getting there, just at the top of the ladder and then along comes the snake which can make you feel a bit hopeless . . . but there’s always another ladder. Speaking about the single, Stephanie says, “I thought I was writing this for everyone else  – for friends and people I love as a sort of I’ll be there for you song but I realised that I was actually writing it for me – to remind me to always keep going.”

The release of ‘Snakes & Ladders’ is a poignant one as the Cork native returns to Ireland after captivating both the audience and the judges on America’s Got Talent, with Simon Cowell praising her audition, saying, “Of all the new songs I’ve heard this year, this is the best by a mile.” Stephanie Rainey progressed to the quarter-final live shows of America’s Got Talent and on September 3 performed her powerful song ‘Woman’ written to her Mother while battling cancer. Her performance captured the hearts of audience members, viewers stateside as well as fans back home. Stephanie is so grateful for the support shown to her and intends to show her appreciation when she performs in Cork City Hall and Vicar Street, Dublin later this year.

With over 30 million streams and 30 million Tik Tok views, Stephanie Rainey’s influence continues to expand, drawing comparisons to music giants like Adele, Dermot Kennedy, and Ed Sheeran. Stephanie Rainey’s story is one of resilience, connection, and the unbreakable power of music. Her new found TikTok fanbase, with over 27 million views, confirms her anthemic songwriting continues to inspire and resonate with audiences around the world, proving that music can be a force for healing and unity.

Since her breakthrough, Stephanie has amassed over 70 million streams across all her social media platforms and has become one of Ireland’s most played female artists on radio.  Stephanie Rainey’s success in 2021 and 2022, with hit singles like ‘Ross & Rachel,’ ‘No Cowboy,’ ’13,’ and ‘Remember Who Your Friends Are’ also showcased her appeal to a new generation of fans. ‘Remember Who Your Friends Are’ climbed to No.2 in the Irish Breakers Radio Chart and the top 20 Irish Homegrown Chart. These singles were playlisted across national radio stations such as 2FM, RTE Radio 1, iRadio, Beat 102-103, Cork’s 96FM, Today FM, and Northern Ireland’s Cool FM. Stephanie also made her Irish TV debut on Ireland’s prestigious Late Late Show and The Heart of A Saturday Night.

After her AGT audition Stephanie released ‘Please Don’t Go (Steph’s Version)’ in June 2024, the song has reached over 40 million views on social media, topped charts in Canada and the United States, and solidified Rainey’s status as a global musical force.
