Irish indie-folk artist Steven Cway returns Today, August 14th with ‘Tar Isteach’, a driving, high-energy Gaeilge anthem built for late-summer drives and festival crowds.
Written and recorded in his Sligo síbín, “Tar Isteach” bridges modern indie rhythms with traditional Irish roots and takes inspiration from expressions his grandmother used to say in Irish.
The track features anthemic vocal hooks and foot-stomping acoustic drive, mixed by acclaimed engineer Richie Kennedy (Brògeal, Cardinals, RIDE).
Following momentum from Steven Cway’s previous two singles, ‘Tar Isteach’ represents the next evolution in his sound—joining a growing wave of modern artists bringing the Irish language into contemporary indie culture without compromise.
