Dublin alternative-rock duo Alpine Skies have released their deeply introspective debut album ‘Inspired Conflicts’.

The band will formally launch the album with an enticing show upstairs in Whelan’s, Dublin, on April 30th, with special guests Nova Dream.

Earning support from Hot Press, Pure M Zine, The Beat, Red FM, Dublin City FM, Duran Duran’s Simon Le Bon and Katy Krassner on Whooosh! (Sirius XM), Eric Alper, Fresh on the Net and more, Alpine Skies’ sound is rooted in melody and emotion, their music fusing cinematic textures with raw lyricism, weaving stories of distance, reconnection, memory, and rebirth. Each song is a window into a world both personal and expansive: music for those moments when time feels suspended.

‘Inspired Conflicts’ became a passion project after the duo’s chance meeting, which initially revolved around the idea of forming a cover band. However, Homan had no desire to pursue that path, and Farrell hadn’t yet had the opportunity to create original material. This conflict of interest ultimately inspired the launch of Alpine Skies and with that, debut album, ‘Inspired Conflicts‘.

Across the album’s ten tracks, themes of conflict and inspiration carry throughout, shaped by both the internal and external struggles (conflicts) that help shape and guide relationships and life. The track list itself not only represents this idea of conflict, but also how one can draw inspiration from its depths and remain inspired to return to centre – a sense of self, or a point of wellbeing.

The band explains“Everyday decisions make and shape our lives, whether good, bad or intended, and everyday we make these decisions. The songs speak to these choices we make, but also try to display that not all that is negative (conflict) needs to be carried as a burden or guilt in life forever. Every decision is a decision made in good intention.”

Self-produced and recorded with the expertise of Sean Hurley in Little Bear Studios, Dublin, with mastering engineer Gabe Wolf at his home studio in LA, ‘Inspired Conflicts’ features contributions from Lee Tomkins (Aslan), Sheena StynesGavin Fox (Turn/Idlewild) and Paul ‘Binzer’ Brennan (The Frames/The Waterboys/Bellx1) on bass and drum recording duties.

In Dublin’s buzzing alternative scene, Alpine Skies emerge as a quietly powerful presence, exploring the profound, the everyday, the tangible and the ineffable – finding connection and meaning through inspired conflicts.
