Publisher Membership (Limited Company) – Eligibility & How to Apply

Are You Eligible?

To qualify for Publisher Membership of IMRO, you must meet the following criteria:

  • You must have a minimum of 10 musical works in your publishing catalogue.
  • Of these, at least 5 works must have been commercially exploited in the past two years. This includes uses such as broadcasts, commercial recordings, or public performances.

How to Apply

To apply for IMRO Publisher Membership, complete the Publisher Member Application Form / Agreement and submit it to IMRO along with the required supporting documentation listed below.

Please note: The Member Agreement includes the assignment of specified rights in your copyright works to IMRO. This agreement only becomes effective upon approval of your application. If you’re unsure about any aspect of the agreement, we recommend seeking legal advice before signing.


Application Checklist

Before submitting your application, please ensure you include the following:

✅ A fully completed and signed Application Form / Membership Agreement
Evidence of commercial exploitation for at least 5 of the 10 qualifying works (e.g. details of recordings, broadcasts, or live performances)
Copies of publishing contracts with the writers of the listed works
✅ A full catalogue/list of all musical works under your control
✅ A copy of your company’s headed notepaper
✅ A copy of your Memorandum & Articles of Association and Certificate of Incorporation

Once you’ve gathered the above documents, you’re ready to submit your application and join IMRO’s global community of music rights holders.
