The Western Development Commission has established a dedicated Micro-Loan Fund on a pilot basis for the Creative Industries Sector, allocating €1m over a three year period.
The Micro-Loan Fund will operate on a competitive ‘Call for Applications’ basis with four calls in 2013, the third of which is currently open. Loans of between €5,000 and €25,000 over 1 to 5 years at the EU reference rate for unsecured lending are available to successful applicants. Applications will be accepted from the first working day to the last working day of each quarter (March, June, September and December).
Q3 2013 Call for Applications is now open and closes on 30th September, 2013.
The Micro-loan Fund is open to all businesses, both start-up and existing, in the Creative Industries Sector and includes the following sub-sectors: –
Advertising
Architecture
Art/Antiques trade
Crafts
Design
Digital media
Fashion
Internet and software
Music, visual and performing arts
Publishing
Radio and TV broadcasting
Video, film and photography
