Dingle Line-up

The twelfth season of Other Voices will weave it’s magic spell in Dingle with a stellar line up for St James’ Church on December 6th, 7th & 8th. The music will then move northwards along the Wild Atlantic Way to The Glassworks, Derry on 7th, 8th and 9th February 2014. Aidan Gillen will return to present the series.

Live Streaming
For those who don’t make it into the church, the live action will be streamed locally in bars around the town as well as online via http://www.rte.ie <http://www.rte.ie> /othervoices, the RTÉ Player and http://www.theguardian.com/uk. Streaming will also be live direct to a selection of venues in Derry city including Sandinos, The Gweedore, Masons and The Grand Central.

Other Voices Music Trail
Dingle will host the hugely popular Other Voices Music Trail, with a brilliant line-up of shows in venues around the town including Come On Live Long, Maud In Cahoots, Slow Skies, Bouts, Hermitage Green, Leanne Harte, Little Bear and many more . All Other Voices Music Trail events are free and will take place before and after the Church happenings. http://dingle2013.othervoices.ie/music-trail
 
Banter
This year also sees a return of Banter, a salon style series of discussion and debate curated and hosted by Jim Carroll which takes place in Foxy John’s Friday (5-6pm), Saturday (2-6pm) and Sunday (2-6pm). Names already announced include: Eimear McBride, David Gray, Alice Maher, John Grant, Donal Ryan and Pat Leahy. http://dingle2013.othervoices.ie/banter
 
Each year, Other Voices provides a TV and online platform for new and emerging acts in the IMRO Other Room. Hundreds of applications for a performance slot have been coming in over the last week and the Viewer’s Choice shortlist will be announced and put to the public vote tonight at 9pm on www.rte.ie/othervoices
