Ortús Chamber Music Festival is delighted to reflect on a wonderful and successful 2026 festival, which took place from 21 February to 1 March across Cork City and County. The festival brought outstanding young, world-class musicians to Cork, with a number of sold-out events and enthusiastic audiences throughout.

Founded in 2016 by Cork musicians Mairéad Hickey and Sinéad O’Halloran, Ortús continues its mission to present exceptional chamber music while supporting emerging Irish talent, and this year’s edition was a vibrant celebration of both.

Looking ahead, the 2027 festival will run from 28 February to 7 March 2027 and will be curated by Sinéad O’Halloran. Featured artists will include the Marmen Quartet, Domniq (percussion, Netherlands), Hélène Clément (viola, France), collaborations with National String Quartet Foundation, and more.

Ortús Chamber Music Festival extends sincere thanks to its audiences, artists, partners, and supporters for making the 2026 festival such a success, and looks forward to welcoming audiences back in 2027.

Further details will be announced soon.

Ortús gratefully appreciates the support received from the Arts Council, Cork City and Cork County Councils and all our sponsors and friends.
