The National Concert Hall has announced a new programme of contemporary music, immersive performance and cultural collaboration, bringing together international innovators and leading Irish artists across a wide-ranging season of concerts and special events.
Highlights include the return of Haunted Dancehall in partnership with Foggy Notions, featuring Kelela, Circuit des Yeux with Low’s Alan Sparhawk, and Scrata, the new solo project from My Bloody Valentine’s Colm Ó Cíosóig. The season also includes Slí na Samhlaíochta | The Way of Imagination, a unique live performance exploring Tír na nÓg through the work of writer and broadcaster Manchán Magan, alongside performances from Lisa O’Neill, Liam Ó Maonlaí, Crash Ensemble and Colm Mac Con Iomaire. Haunted Dancehall
One of the standout events in the NCH calendar, Haunted Dancehall returns on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 October 2026. Taking place across three rooms over two days, the festival brings together some of the most innovative names in contemporary music.
Saturday’s programme is headlined by acclaimed American singer, songwriter and producer Kelela, whose fusion of R&B, electronic music and experimental club sounds has established her as one of the most influential artists working today. The line-up also features Voice Actor, Proc Fiskal, TURNSPIT, A Good Year, Felicity J Lord, Robocobra Quartet, Nashpaints and Shampain.
On Sunday, audiences can experience the silent horror classic Nosferatu (1922) with an original live score performed by Circuit des Yeux, accompanied by Low co-founder Alan Sparhawk. The programme also includes My Bloody Valentine’s Colm Ó Cíosóig keiyaA, thredd, feeo, Scrata, Midwife, E the Artist and Caitlin Orla Eve.
Slí na Samhlaíochta | The Way of Imagination
On Monday 5 October 2026, NCH presents Slí na Samhlaíochta | The Way of Imagination, a one-off live performance combining spoken word, music and visual art in an exploration of Tír na nÓg. Centred on the words of Manchán Magan, the event features Lisa O’Neill, Liam Ó Maonlaí, Crash Ensemble, Colm Mac Con Iomaire, Méabh McKenna, Myles O’Reilly and Branwen, under the musical direction of Simon O’Reilly, with visuals by Crosby Dunkley.
The Jimmy Cake
Dublin post-rock pioneers The Jimmy Cake will perform at NCH on Saturday 28 November 2026 as part of the Landmarks series, celebrating the 25th anniversary of their debut album Brains. The concert will see the band perform the album in full for the first time in almost a decade.
Metronome
The latest edition of Metronome runs from August to November 2026 in The Studio, showcasing adventurous artists across experimental, electronic, folk, jazz and alternative music. This year’s programme includes performances from Momoko Gill, Daniel Luke, Louise Gaffney, Antoni O’Breskey & Consuelo Nerea Breschi, Tanya Donelly and Chris Brokaw, among others.
Punch Brothers
Looking ahead to 2027, Grammy Award-winning American group Punch Brothers, featuring Chris Thile, return to NCH as part of the Perspectives series on Saturday 16 January 2027. Known for their virtuosic musicianship and genre-defying approach, the group continue to expand the possibilities of acoustic string music.
