Minding Creative Minds (MCM) Announces its Second Online Meeting

On Monday February 15th Minding Creative Minds’ (MCM) in association with EPIC Working GroupIrish Music Rights Organisation (IMRO), Irish Recorded Music Association (IRMA), MCD Productions and The Cowshed will hold its second online meet and greet session.  This MCM Meet and Greet Session is open to the entire creative community in Ireland and to Irish creatives located overseas. It will be chaired by Ann Marie Shields, Minding Creative Minds director and Head of Careers, Industry and Events at BIMM Institute.

In December, with thanks to its existing funding partners and new funding by The Department of Culture, Arts, Media, Tourism, Sport and the GaeltachtMinding Creative Minds was able to open its services to the entire creative community both in Ireland and to Irish creatives based overseas (circa 55,000 people in total). 

The MCM Meet and Greet Session on February 15th will commence at 7pm and advance registration is necessary, but this also affords you the opportunity to log your enquiry or question as early as possible, just click here and follow the instructions:


The aim of this MCM Meet and Greet Session is to enable attendees to share experiences, share advice with each other and have a conversation with your peers as we strive to get our sector back to full health. By holding this MCM Meet and Greet SessionMinding Creative Minds wants to help in building resources and facilitate an atmosphere of help and support for all and encourage an open conversation within our community.  Some may wish to tell their story, others may have questions, some may wish to attend purely as spectators to find out a little more about what MCM do.

Minding Creative Minds launched in June 2020 and is Ireland’s (32 county and Irish overseas) first 24/7 mental health and wellbeing support programme for the Irish Creative Sector and includes access to the following services.

  •       Counselling Service (Short term intervention / Up to 6 Sessions)
  •       Telephone Counselling 
  •       Secure Video Counselling
  •     Extensive Web Portal & App enabling live chat function with a counsellor

In addition to the mental health support system offered, Minding Creative Minds looks at the whole individual resulting in a programme that also offers access to a number of additional services structured to help users with various issues they may face such as:

  • Advice on practical, day-to-day issues that cause anxiety and stress
  • Legal Assistance for a range of issues
  • Financial Assistance & Consumer Advice
  • Career Guidance & Life Coaching
  • Support for Non-Irish Nationals & their families
  • Mediation for conflict resolution
