Purpose of Job
The Distribution Executive plays a key role in delivering accurate, timely royalty distributions and high quality support to members. This role involves a strong focus on data entry, data processing, and data integrity within a fast paced environment.
Job Context and Content
The job holder is one of a team of eight Executives who are signed to the Distribution Team.
Principal Accountabilities
• Collect, prepare, and process data used in the distribution of mechanical and performance royalties.
• Enter and validate data in accordance with mechanical licensing requirements.
• Process monthly and quarterly mechanical and performance distribution files.
• Match music works against international repertoire databases to ensure accuracy.
• Support distribution and membership operations as required by the Distribution Manager.
• Participate in reception/switchboard cover as part of the duty relief roster.

On a daily basis re ongoing status of daily tasks
• Distribution Manager
On a daily basis re personal and team targets
• Media Licensing and Publisher Account Manager
On a weekly basis re mechanical distribution guidance and schedules

On an ad hoc basis.

• Working under tight deadlines while maintaining high data standards.
• Operating effectively as part of a collaborative and fast moving team.
Planning and Organising
Work planning follows the schedule set by the Distribution Manager. The role is closely supervised and follows established guidelines. As an entry level position, continuous guidance and mentorship will be provided.
Direction Received
Little routine direction is required as the job holder works within well defined guidelines. However, as this is an entry level post, the holder should expect continuous guidance from the Senior Executives and Distribution Manager.
Knowledge and Experience
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with Dynamics 365, SQL, Python and Databricks is an advantage.
• A general understanding of music and repertoire management is beneficial.
