Ireland Music Week has announced the 50 new and emerging Irish artists who will showcase at IMW26. The festival will return with its international showcase and conference later this year. The conference programme will take place over three days, while the music showcase will take place Thursday 1st and Friday 2nd October.
The showcases will be held in The Grand Social, The Workman’s Club and The Button Factory. The festival hub and conference venue will be Lost Lane.
The Ireland Music Week Team added:
“It’s exciting to get to know the music of the showcasing artists for this year. We can honestly say that the Irish music scene is in wonderful health. We look forward to supporting the 50 acts, and helping them find new audiences and opportunities both at home and internationally over the coming months and beyond.”
The festival made its open call for applications in February this year, receiving almost 900 applications via First Music Contact’s platform, Breaking Tunes. The acts are chosen by an external panel of national and international industry professionals. IMW places a strong emphasis on export-ready artists, with increasing success year on year. In attendance will be bookers, labels, publishers, managers, agents and alongside a wide range of international music professionals ready to support and champion these Irish acts.
Highlights from last year’s lineup include Madra Salach, BABYRAT, Florence Road, Delivery Service and many more.
