IMRO is deeply saddened by the passing of the much-loved Trevor Deitz, who passed away on Sunday, June 7th, aged 47.
Trevor was widely known and admired as the manager of Fontaines D.C., as well as a booker and promoter at The Workman’s Club. Often referred to as the “sixth member” of the band, Trevor had manged Fontaines D.C. since 2016 and was recognised for his unwavering belief and lasting impact on their success.
During this time, Trevor witnessed and guided the bands journey from BIMM students making music together to international acclaim, overseeing the release of Dogrel (2019), A Hero’s Death (2020), Skinty Fia (2022), and Romance (2024), alongside numerous nominations and awards.
Beyond his work with Fontaines D.C., Trevor was deeply valued for his commitment to promoting emerging artists and grassroot culture. His dedication to supporting new and upcoming bands in Ireland was profound and far-reaching.
A graduate of Belvedere College, Trevor began working at the Workman’s Club in 2010, where he played a pivotal role in shaping a generation of alternative nightlife and live music culture in Dublin.
