Radio Days Ireland is a premier two-day conference dedicated to the broadcasting industry, held at The Gibson Hotel in Dublin from March 27th- 28th. Organised by Learning Waves Skillnet and the Independent Broadcasters of Ireland (IBI), the event serves as a vital platform for discussion, learning, and innovation within the radio sector.

The conference features an impressive line-up of speakers from Ireland, the UK, the USA, and across Europe, addressing topics such as sustaining radio’s future, combating disinformation, and the impact of artificial intelligence on radio and podcasting. Notable sessions include discussions on diversity and sustainability for content and commercial growth, the future of audio advertising, and strategies for connecting with younger audiences.

The conference attracts over 200 delegates and features more than 25 speakers, providing attendees with valuable insights into the evolving landscape of radio and audio.

As part of the opening evening’s proceedings, IMRO recognised and celebrated outstanding contributors to Irish music and broadcasting. The following individuals and stations were honoured for their dedication to championing homegrown talent:

  • Galway Bay FM – For their ongoing support of Irish music creators.

  • Ann Marie Kelly (Midlands 103) – For her remarkable dedication to Irish music.

  • Kieran McGuinness (Radio Nova) – For his long-standing advocacy for homegrown music.

  • Michaela Hayes (Spin 1038 & Spin Southwest) – For her unwavering support of emerging Irish artists.

  • John Creedon (RTÉ Radio 1) – For his passion for Irish music and storytelling, which continues to inspire audiences nationwide.

IMRO congratulates all award recipients and thanks them for their invaluable contributions to Irish music. Their commitment ensures that homegrown artists receive the attention and support they deserve.
