The all-ages music festival BASED is back for its sixth instalment in a spooky Halloween Edition.
On 28th October 2025, Based will take over the Button Factory with an incredible lineup of
up-and-coming artists and bands.
BASED was created to address the lack of inclusive and accessible events for a younger generation of
artists and music fans. As an all-ages and alcohol-free music festival, their goal is to give young artists a platform to showcase their talent and have fun. This festival is the first of its kind in Ireland and
has helped foster an emerging scene of creativity and expression.
The Halloween edition will include a costume contest and other spooky surprises. The diverse lineup will showcase incredible emerging indie rock acts from around Ireland. Attendees can expect captivating music as well as cutting-edge production featuring visual effects and state-of-the-art lighting. Presented by Fluttertone, champions of independent music in Ireland for a decade, BASED festival director Colm wants to provide a stage for young artists as well as safe shows for young music fans.
He says, “I’m inundated with messages and calls from bands who want to be included. The success of the
festivals and demand for all-ages shows has allowed us to get to our sixth instalment.”
BASED has teamed up with Safe Gigs Ireland, a non-profit organization who will provide the event with dedicated volunteers to help ensure safety and a positive presence. BASED is committed to creating an inclusive and respectful atmosphere. This includes medics on-site, extra security, and approachable Safe Gigs staff.
There are so many bands on the lineup you won’t want to miss. Holy Show’s energetic performances
have them on the rise, and The Wires are sure to set the stage ablaze with hard hitting riffs. Paradise
Conspiracy will get you dancing, and Karibu Sana provides all the moves and grooves. Catch these
