Other Voices, Ireland’s landmark live music series, returns to screens this Spring for its 24th series, featuring an incredible line-up of homegrown and international talent. With intimate performances and never-before-seen interviews filmed in Dingle and West Wales, the series continues to celebrate what’s about to happen with stunning debuts and return appearances from the most exciting voices in music.

The longstanding Other Voices presenter team of Annie Macmanus, Huw Stephens and MayKay return as hosts to present this brand new six-part series, painting a picture of the current Irish music scene in all its glory alongside some thrilling musical moments by acclaimed international acts. Featuring performances from global stars like Dermot Kennedy and Amble, to critically acclaimed groups such as Dry Cleaning and shame, the series also shines a light on Ireland’s emerging talent through the IMRO Other Room. The series will also feature highlights from Other Voices’ adventure to West Wales with music from Ye Vagabonds, KhakiKid, RÓIS and more.

Episode one opens on a high note with music from unstoppable folk trio Amble, who claimed the most streamed album in Ireland in 2025 with the RTÉ Choice Music Prize nominated album Reverie. The episode also features an Other Voices debut by indie-pop’s fastest rising stars Florence Road, alongside a standout performance by Nigerian-Irish songwriter and producer MOIO over in the IMRO Other Room. The premiere also features industry favourite Dove Ellis, fresh off one of 2025’s most critically acclaimed debut LP, Blizzard. The series also takes a moment to honour the former President of Ireland and poet Michael D. Higgins, who appeared in West Kerry alongside his collaborator Myles O’Reilly for a surprise set last November.

Across six weeks, we’ll see more inspiring performances captured in the tiny Church of St James in Dingle from London five piece shame, R&B star Jessy Blakemore, cherished songwriter Sorcha Richardson, Belfast electro-punks CHALK, enduring songwriter and Arctic Monkey’s collaborator Miles Kane, with electrifying performances from history making rapper Travy and folk metal group The Scratch, while London post-punks Dry Cleaning bring their poetic, hypnotic and uncompromising observation to Dingle for the first time. Together with IMRO Ireland, some of the country’s most exciting new voices will shine bright in the Other Room, with highlights from DIY alt-pop creative Annie-Dog, world-renowned piper SeánMcKeon, genre-bending songwriter and producer MOIO as well as Irish-American contemporary folk duo DUG.

The final episode of the series is devoted to the return of Ireland’s most resonant international voices, singer-songwriter Dermot Kennedy. Back in The Church for the third time, ahead of two career-defining Aviva Stadium dates, he shares songs from his brand-new album The Weight Of The Woods. He also sits down with Annie Mac to reflect on the making of the record, his instinct for creating closeness on the world’s biggest stages, and the enduring pull that keeps bringing him back to Dingle to play Other Voices.

Other Voices Founder Philip King said: We feel very privileged at Other Voices to continue to capture the continuing stream of remarkable new and diverse Irish music from Dove Ellis to Amble, from MOIO to Seán McKeon and from Florence Road to The Scratch. This year Dermot Kennedy came home to Dingle as did Sorcha Richardson. Michael D. Higgins celebrated the power of the spoken word alongside Myles O’Reilly and Belfast’s CHALK took the road West and  for sure the Church of St James is reverberating with their power and passion. This music offers hope for the future and gives us the energy to keep on keeping on.”

Host MayKay added “There just is not another show on TV, anywhere, like it. Every year feels like the first year again! I always think I’ll get used to it – to the excitement, the nerves, the anticipation. But that’s the beauty of it. When you have brand new acts, or acts that you’ve seen grow over the years, or a former President of Ireland doing spoken word, in the most beautiful town on earth, how could you ever get used to it. Dove Ellis and The Scratch are my top two this year, but really, it was wall to wall brilliance and joy all round, as usual.”

Victor Finn, CEO of the Irish Music Rights Organisation (IMRO) said “From its beginnings in Dingle, Other Voices has captured something unique about Irish music; its intimacy, its ambition and its global reach. IMRO has supported the series from the outset and we are proud to see how it continues to evolve while all the time staying true to its roots. Supporting initiatives like this is central to IMRO’s role in championing music creators who shape Ireland’s cultural voice.”

Other Voices begins on Thursday 26 February at 11pm on RTÉ2 and will be available worldwide on the RTÉ Player.
