It’s exciting to hear the artists that have been selected, and we can honestly say that the Irish music scene is in fantastic health in terms of the artists this country produces. We look forward to supporting them to build new audiences and opportunities at home and internationally over the coming months and beyond.

– Ireland Music Week Team

The festival returns with the international-facing showcases and conference in October 2025. The conference elements will take place across the three days, with the music showcases taking place on Thursday 2nd and Friday 3rd.

The showcases will take place in The Grand Social, The Workman’s Club and The Button Factory. Lost Lane will once again be the festival hub and location for the conference during the day.

After the success last year of the inaugural day shows, they will be extended to two days this year, on the afternoon of Thursday and Friday (more details in the coming weeks).

The festival made the annual call for applications in February and almost 700 acts applied via First Music Contact’s artist and industry platform Breaking Tunes. The acts were then chosen independently by an external panel of national and international industry who assess the applications and put forward their top artists.

Ireland Music Week places a strong focus on export-ready artists with an increased success rate year on year. Bookers, labels, publishers, managers, agents, and many more international professionals have confirmed to attend, which can be an essential step in any Irish artists’ development. Many of the IMW acts each year go on to showcase at international festivals such as ESNS, The Great Escape, Primavera Pro, SXSW and more. The festival will, once again, achieve a gender-balanced lineup.

Some of the artist highlights from last year’s lineup include Cliffords, Niamh Bury, Shark School, I Dreamed I Dream, BOLD LOVE, Ahmed, With Love, Holly Munro, Bucket, Cable Boy, Dose, Seánie Bermingham, Kean Kavanagh, Annie-Dog and many more.

Artists who’ve played in previous years include CMAT, Fonatines D.C., KhakiKid, Hozier, Just Mustard, NewDad, Gurriers, Sprints, Curtisy, Gilla Band, Soulé, Villagers, Caleb Kunle Pillow Queens, Thumper, Junior Brother, Morgana, Chalk and lots more.
