Co-Writing Session
The main focus of this workshop will be an opportunity for you to hone your songwriting skills, by co-writing with other members on the night. Please bring along your guitar or other musical instrument. If this is not possible, come along anyway.
Evening Topic
Your host Rob Macleod will be joined by rising star Colohan from Galway who will talk about online promotion and selling out live gigs. Rob has over three decades of experience in the music industry including performing, songwriting, artist management and record production.
Colohan is a mesmerising artist and guitarist hailing from Galway City in the west of Ireland, who has quickly emerged as a rising star in the music world. With his remarkable guitar skills and heartfelt performances, he has left audiences in awe on renowned stages across Ireland, including The INEC, The Wexford Opera House, and The Cork Opera House. From the sun-kissed shores of the Caribbean to the vibrant stages of Spain, England, and Scotland, he has captivated international crowds with his extraordinary talent.
Whether you’re an absolute beginner or an experienced operator, Rob and Colohan will have something to say to you and they will also answer any questions you may have.
After The Workshop
After the workshop, at approximately 8.30 pm, participants will adjourn to upstairs at The 51 Bar on Haddington Road, which is within walking distance from IMRO, to perform co-writes and share other songs that have been written in a warm, friendly and non-judgemental atmosphere..
