Songwriters at all levels, from first timers to pros, as well as the merely curious, are invited to join this intensive Listening Room Songwriters Workshop, where participants will have the opportunity to have a live song consultation with Brett, applying his popular ‘Three Cs Of Effective Songwriting‘ tools, as presented over the past three decades at songwriting organisations and universities around the globe.
The day promises to be light hearted, informative and engaging as the creative process is celebrated, explored and expanded upon.
Listening Room Retreats founder Brett Perkins has spent the past four decades developing and refining his own works and career while assisting others in pursuing the same.
The California born, Copenhagen based songwriter Brett Perkins has travelled to 29 countries thus far as a performer, presenter, guest speaker and artist consultant, with songs and vocals appearing on over twenty commercial releases, including the number one debut single ‘Breaking News’, written with Sony Denmark artist Mads Langer, numerous film and TV placements (MTV’s Road Rules, NBC Movie Of The Week, ‘Anna Pihl’, etc), awards (1st Prize, Great American Song Contest & Australian Song Contest, etc.) and widespread international airplay.
His ‘Getting Indie With It’ and ‘Three Cs Of Effective Songwriting’ workshops have been enthusiastically received at Berklee College Of Music/Boston, The Songwriting School of Los Angeles, USC School of Music Academy, IMRO/ Dublin, Royal Conservatory of Stockholm, NOPA/Oslo and beyond, and he regularly consults with established and aspiring artists on song development and career planning.
As founder of the Listening Room International Songwriter Retreats, held annually in several countries, Brett’s introduced the concept of ’Community Through Co-Writing’ to over 2,000 writers from around the globe since 2002, along with founding the Copenhagen, Flagstaff, Galway, Idyllwild and Tuscany Songwriters Festivals, in a career of service built on earlier positions which include C.E.O./ National Academy of Songwriters and Publisher/ SongTalk Magazine.
