Sharon is Sony/ATV’s Senior Vice President, International Operations & Society Relations and is an active member of its global senior executive strategy team based in its International office in London. Sharon‘s 30+ year music industry career spans PRS, SBK Songs, A&M Records, and CBS Music Publishing, now Sony/ATV. She has vast experience of the operational side of music copyright administration from both the side of a smaller publishing company (CBS Music Publishing began with just a handful of copyrights), to now being a key executive in the largest music publisher in the world. Today Sharon leads, provides procedural and operational direction and internationally manages Sony/ATV’s Music Publishing administrative operations and organisation, instigating and leading several business change programmes. She is an experienced participant in Society/Publisher technical committees, with a strong eye for detail, and a direct approach to challenging outdated practices. She is a strong advocate and champion for the rights of international songwriters.
